New Meets Being Added With the Reduction of COVID Limitations
With the news of the reduction in COVID Limitations, we are increasing our availability of meets over the next 4 weeks. Our meet scheduled for June 26 has now been re-named as the Kamloops Re-start Meet. The COVID rules for this meet means that other clubs and athletes from around the province can now register to compete. Another change on June 16 allows us to have unlimited numbers of athletes, 21 and younger) so we will not have to follow the 50 participant limit from before.
This will mean that our scheduling will have to be reviewed and it is likely that our track events will continue to go in the morning (10:00 on), while our Jumps and Throws will take place in the schedule to allow everyone to compete in the events they want.
For this meet, we have added the 100m Hurdles for U16 men along with U18-Sr Women. We have also added 110m Hurdles for U18-Sr Men.
Events will include:
Track: 60m (9-11), 100m (all), 600m (9-11), 1000m (9-11), 1200m (U14-U16), 1500m (U18+), 100mH (M-U16, W – U16-Sr), 110mH (M-U18-Sr).
Field: Long Jump (all), Javelin Throw (10+)
Registration is now open for this meet on Trackie at http://www.trackiereg.com/KamRestartMeet
